Only the info you input into the Teacher Notification Application is saved. This is done for the purposes of facilitating the notification/complaint process and customizing the emails with jurisdiction-specific information.
Who we share your data with
The teachers receiving your email will have access to your name and email, as will the ethics4teachers.ca site administrators.
How long we retain your data
The info you enter into the complaint and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can follow the notification process to it’s conclusion. We will delete your data if you request that we do so.
What rights you have over your data
If you use the Teacher Notification Application, you can email us and ask to have your data removed at any time.
Where we send your data
The information you enter is emailed to the email addresses you enter when using the app and to [email protected].
How we protect your data
Use of an SSL certificate, non-default admin login and strong passwords.
What data breach procedures we have in place
This site is protected by a valid SSL certificate.
What third parties we receive data from
The only data received by this site is that which is entered into the complaint tracking application. Disclosure to further parties subsequent to the commencement of administrative and/or legal procedures may occur.
What automated decision making and/or profiling we do with user data
Emails are automatically sent to the email addresses you supply when using the Teacher Notification Application. Follow-up emails are sent in accordance with the timelines specified in the content of the emails generated by the application.
